Choosing a scope can mean moving between spec sheets, reviews, forum threads, and retailer listings. Each offers part of the picture. You still have to work out how the pieces fit together and what they mean for you.
HuntGrade is built by a hunter who loves technology and enjoys that research. The work draws on technical data, field experience, and owner discussions, then turns the findings into comparisons you can explore.
You should be able to make a well-informed choice without becoming an optics expert. And if you already know the subject, you should be able to follow the reasoning and question it.

Our thermal scores use published formulas applied consistently across the catalog. A calculated score, a manufacturer’s specification, and a hunter’s experience tell you different things. A score helps compare products, but it cannot tell you everything about owning one.
