Hydra combines a thermal scope, clip-on and handheld viewer. Hydra LRF adds a built-in laser rangefinder.
For each DNT scope, we average the prices of all scopes from other brands with the same sensor class, primary lens size and built-in rangefinder status. We calculate its percentage difference from that average, then average those percentages. Each qualifying DNT scope counts equally.
A scope needs at least 2 competing scopes to count. They may come from the same other brand; each distinct scope contributes one price. Matching these specifications does not establish equal image quality or features.
Prices are saved new-item or sale listings confirmed in stock, recorded within 30 days of 2026-10-20. 10 of 10 scopes have an eligible price. Missing prices are excluded. Availability can change.
Brands can have different scopes in their comparisons, so these percentages are not a direct ranking of brand prices.

A shared sensor class doesn’t establish the same image quality. Open a family for its exact scopes and feature differences.
Configurations come from our saved product catalog. Sensor columns use actual horizontal pixel counts; a shared resolution does not establish equal image quality. Runtime bars share a 12-hour scale on this page. The lighter segment shows the range within a family; an asterisk means runtime is missing for some scopes. Runtime depends on operating conditions and is not a HuntGrade test result. Mixed battery or display configurations are identified at scope level. Prices show confirmed in-stock offers from our saved retailer data; scopes without one show “Check availability”. Stars compare specifications across the full catalog. Hog identification distances are calculated estimates. Switchable lens positions are recorded for AGM Clarion. Open a scope for its specifications and source links.
Behind the brand
The people
DNT sells Hydra thermal scopes through its U.S. store and dealers. Hydra and Hydra LRF span three sensor resolutions and several lens sizes.
The hardware
The lineup uses 256×192, 384×288 and 640×512 sensors with 12 µm pixels and 1024×768 displays. Lens size and base magnification vary by scope. The LRF versions include a laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator.
Our catalog keeps each configuration separate so its specifications, score and current offers can be compared directly.
After the sale
DNT lists two years of standard warranty coverage for its 256×192 and 384×288 Hydra scopes, extending to three years after registration. Its 640×512 scopes have three years as standard, extending to five.
The catalog uses the standard term. Register with DNT to obtain the extension.
Exact-model specifications checked against DNT’s U.S. comparison table and manuals on September 30, 2026. Warranty durations follow DNT’s registration table. Dealer offers were matched by SKU. Estimated aperture and mounted-weight inputs are identified on the affected product pages.
10 retailers list 10 of the 10 DNT scopes in our catalog. See who carries the lineup and how often each store has the lowest listed price.
Typical listed price gap for DNT: $201 between the lowest and highest store prices.
Saved listings include out-of-stock scopes; lowest-price counts use offers recorded as available and include ties. EuroOptic and Scopelist count as one store.
